The Egg on my Car

8DC0BF28-F110-48F1-A465-24C01F94CFBCYesterday I’ve found out that somebody threw an egg on my car.To my surprise,I didn’t get upset about it.I just wonder why would someone would do such a stupid behavior to an object (car) .I didn’t romanticize the event that happened.I just thought maybe that person doesn’t like my car or who knows what’s on that person’s mind when she/he’s doing it.

I also can’t remember  if ever I did something wrong to anyone around this area where I live for a person to do such evil thing to pissed  me off.Unfortunately, I just shook it off and I let God do the vengeance for me. The same day, rain poured and washed that mess.

It doesn’t surprise me anymore that most people would do wicked things. My mind has been calloused  of mistreatments ,unfairness and injustice from others .And I don’t expect nothing from anyone anymore.

I’ve tried to read books that would help me deal with this kind of people who has nothing to offer but to throw sorrows and pains. But God’s words are still great reminders on how to love others even when it’s not love that you want to extend on certain events.

I was reminded by God that I don’t want to be like them and I am grateful once again because I practiced forgiveness even to the ones who don’t deserve it.

Matthew 5:44

But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.

How to deal with Bullies

Bullies are rampant and they will never go away, they’re a part of this cruel world.Sadly, it’s a fact based on my experience.

Since grade school through high school and now that I am an adult ,there’s no single moment I’ve never experienced not being bullied. And there’s no single moment I stand for myself even if I look like I am sitting.

I am 4 feet and 9 inches and roughly about 89 lbs and the last person I had conflict with at work is 5’10 and about 220 lbs.Everyone at work tolerated her hideous, unacceptable behaviors.I did my best to be neutral and not engaging conversations with her but she keeps on picking on me for some reason .Like how she treats everyone, she likes to yell and she always enjoy the attention of audience when she’s humiliating somebody .She thinks the work place is a ghetto place where she probably came from.At first, I let go of those humiliating things she’s done to me.But few days ago,I faced her and I stood my ground before her huge structure with no fear.I didn’t harm her nor has plans or intentions to hurt her.She threatened me but I did not show any fear. All I know is that the people around us were silent.I had the last statement and I didn’t  raise my voice.I just did my best to emphasized the boundaries she must know. And then I walked out of the situation.

One of our coworker who were there during the heated conversations approached me and told me “You’re right!” And she gave me a hug.

I told that person it’s not about being right but standing for your right even if it means standing alone.

I came home that night,I prayed and I cried out to God.I asked “How long do I have to deal with this kind of people?”

As much as I want to forgive people who have nothing but evil pleasure towards others ,it’s becoming impossible for me to forgive such kind of evil behaviors.

But then again God reminded me of His mercy. How he died on the cross for my sins. When I think about how I’ve fallen short for the glory of God and how he continues to give me new mercy each day ,I have to extend the same  mercy with others.

I eventually thanking God for giving me difficult people in my life such as those bullies,so I can practice and continue to learn to forgive.

I won’t learn the concept of forgiveness without someone to forgive with.

So how do you deal with bullies?

I only have one  answer.Just pray for them.If it doesn’t work, just continue  to pray for them.

Luke 6:28

Bless those who curse you. Pray for those who hurt you.

The Power of Choice

I think Bathsheba in the Old Testament could’ve done a better job letting go of David when she knew she’s not doing the right thing, instead she allowed everything to happen that caused David or both of them to stumble and fall before God.

But the story  has ended how it’s supposed to be.Jesus came in and He took his precious time to right the wrong doings of the New Testament women such as The woman at the well and the Adulterous woman.I think Jesus believed that “women” can make right choices when men can’t !

Well think about how Jesus could’ve shown himself  to those men with whom these particular women got involved with, but instead Jesus showed up to those “women”.

But it isn’t about being a woman or man when it comes to choices.

David on the other side could’ve done the right choice too,but he made poor choices as well.He suffered from those poor choices.

But God has given us all the free will, the power to make choices, whether it’s right or wrong.

When God Empty His Hands

D33AD4A1-BE4A-42B1-8DA4-B5DBFDA3E073

I came across with this quote that says “A truly rich man is one whose children run into his arms even when his hands are empty”  and I can’t help but think about God and how he feels every time his children he created would only run into his arms when he can give something and would often run away from him when he can’t give the things they want.

My rebellious heart has been activated lately.I was slowly slipping away again into this world. The world that offers nothing but disappointments, heartaches and pains.I made poor choices that causes me heavy burdens.I cried out to him and asked him questions and I didn’t get an answer until I’ve realized how selfish I was again.

But  today I am grateful for such a great reminder of how God would empty his hands just to hold unto me.He would hold my hands when he sees me slipping away from him.He reminded me that holding me is more than enough to remind again of how faithful he is even when I am faithless. He reminded me over again how he can love me  over again even when I often wander and look for love I cannot find and can’t even  love myself.

Ezekiel 12:25

“For I the LORD will speak, and whatever word I speak will be performed It will no longer be delayed, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and perform it,” declares the Lord GOD

Could Jesus have been nailed by His wrists to the cross?

5008FB72-45D9-4931-9A55-33F04686A60CMy answer is NO….and does it really matter?

I had a dream of God the Father speaking to me when I was 18 years old.At that time,I didn’t t know about Jesus at all.I only knew Him by his name.I thought He was dead, just an image hanging on the cross in our Church.

I always go to the Church every Sunday and my mom would bring me to her small Church group at the very young age but I never heard about Jesus except Easter and Christmas.Every Easter,I remember I would join a street procession but I never understood why Jesus died.So I asked my mom one time,

“Who killed Jesus!?”

She replied:” The Romans”

Since then,I would  always remember to hate the Romans every Holy Week when they commemorate the death of Jesus. He was brutally killed and I always cried.

”Jesus should be here! He shouldn’t be dead!”

Back to that dream I had,I remember I cannot see God,but I can hear Him.His voice is like a thunder,it has a shape and it’s huge, every word He speaks, feels like it would pierce me into pieces  but it doesn’t kill me,it also feels like He’s talking to the whole world but He is only talking to me.

God said to me “Did you know what My Son did for you?”

I answered “I don’t know…”

Then Jesus appeared from heaven, wearing his white bright robe.First thing I noticed is that I couldn’t  see his feet touching the ground and He remain floating in the air.He didn’t say a word to me because His presence was enough for me to get the message.Jesus just reached out His arms to me and showed me his two hands, with holes on them covered with fresh blood.

”I saved you”

That was the message of that dream.Jesus died on the cross and rose on the third day so we can have an eternal  life. The fresh blood He shed was a reminder that we’ve been bought by His precious blood. The scars he bore are the proofs of His love.

Matthew 11:27

All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him.

John 3:16

For God so love the world that He gave His only son. That whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have everlasting life.

John 11:25

Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die;

John 20:20

After he said this, he showed them his hands and side. The disciples were overjoyed when they saw the Lord.

When did you find Jesus?

Earlier this afternoon,I was driving  and listening to a radio station called swatradio.com and Mr.Doug asked a question to his guest,

“When did you find Jesus?”

I think it was a great question. So I recalled the time I’ve found Jesus. But I realized  it was more of Jesus finding me and chasing me when I was chasing this world.

He found me in my most hopeless, most helpless and worst moments of my life.

Jesus was always there when I was hopeless. He became my Only Hope. He’s there in every helpless situation I’ve been.He became my Only Strength. He was there in my worst moment of my life, the time when I can’t even find a reason to love myself,He continue to love me.

But the last time Jesus found me, was when I was slowly being swallowed by a filthy mud.I was drowning from every sin I can think of and I cried out to Him.He listened to me and took me out of that dirt and cleansed me.

1 John 1:9

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Love one another

EC293FA6-085B-447D-8EF4-158BBA1FA943

I  wasn’t  surprised at all that control freaks can be found at the Church too.

Some people love to control others when they have no idea what the other person has been dealing with.

We all have different experiences and dealing with issues differently. And some people go to Church, because they can’t carry the burdens they’re carrying by themselves hoping a fellow believers will give them encouragement and not giving them more burdens into their lives by trying to control them according to their standards.

Some people are hoping for A “Simon of Cyrene” that would carry their heavy cross they’re carrying.

Jesus came to served. He just simply served us by dying on the cross to saved us all. We’re created to serve one another not to hurt each other and give burdens to one another.

John 13:34-35

34 A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.”

Will you be the Simon of Cyrene of your fellow believer? Will you give a relief to someone carrying a heavy cross?

What is Love?

Love is a commandment.

John 13:34

A new commandment I give to you, That you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.

Jesus didn’t say to love the one who’s easy to love.He didn’t say to love only the ones that can love you back. But love one another…regardless if that person is difficult to extend love.

Luke 6:32

“If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners love those who love them.

Jesus is the definition of love.

And the best representation of love is when He died on the cross to saved us all.And the greatest expression of love is to forgive others just like how Jesus forgives us all.

We can either love one another or disobey this command.monkimage.php

Jesus Conquered Death

At some point in our lives we’ve all experienced and we will continue to experience injustice,pains,disappointments,heartaches,oppression and sufferings and we often raise our defense mechanism and thought about ourselves for the most part and asked these questions;

“Why God allows us to suffer?!”

“Why God allows bad things to happen?!”

“Why God allows evil to inflict us?!”

My answer is….

I don’t know.I am not God.

But I believed God allows things to happen for a reason.Perhaps to draw us close to him and rely on him deeply. It may be the devil’s meant to do harm, but God intended it for good. (Genesis 50:20) Perhaps God wants us to strengthen our faith and trust in him and to lean not in our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5).

But during that moment we experience suffering we never even thought and asked,

Why did Jesus have to endure all the sufferings on his way to the cross?

Why did he has to die when he has all the power to stop his death?”

Here’s my answer….

Because of LOVE!

God loves us so much!

He loves us so much,Jesus died on the cross so we can live and have an eternal life with him.Only through death of a perfect sacrifice that we can inherit life for those who believes, and that’s through Jesus Christ who conquered death!

Romans 5:8

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

And remember what Jesus said on John 16:33…

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”

Beware of False Prophets

A person can call himself/herself as a follower of Jesus Christ yet his/her words contradicts his/her actions. It’s not how many times a person can qoute the bible that you will know he or she is a true believer in Christ but through his or her fruits and testing their spirits.

1 John 4

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world

Jesus warned us on Matthew 7:15-20 about false prophets;
15 “Watch out for false prophets. They come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ferocious wolves.

16 By their fruit you will recognize them. Do people pick grapes from thornbushes, or figs from thistles?

17 Likewise, every good tree bears good fruit, but a bad tree bears bad fruit.

18 A good tree cannot bear bad fruit, and a bad tree cannot bear good fruit.

19 Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire.

20 Thus, by their fruit you will recognize them.

What fruits should we keep an eye on?

Galatians 5:22

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness.
